Fellowship Tournaments Are Back!!!

Background:

Fellowship tournaments are pre-season events that are primarily held in order to evaluate Referee and Scorer Candidates to ensure they are prepared to facilitate a match consistently, effectively, and fairly.   To provide the most realistic environment we invite teams from the region to play in the event at a reduced rate. 

Advantages to participating:

• Teams and players have an opportunity to audition each other prior to signing up with a team.
• New Referee and Scorer Candidates have an opportunity to test their skills, receive direct feedback from seasoned certified officials and ask them questions.
• Serves as scrimmage opportunities for teams to compete, test new plays, and build cohesion amongst the teammates. 

2015/2016 Process:

We are introducing a very different model than what has been done in the past, so the tournament format and the sign-up process has changed

Fellowship Dates:

• November 8^th at Maryland Jrs
• November 22 at VVC

Fellowship Format:  

• Individual players not currently on a team are invited to register and we will create a team for you to play with, if interested
• Teams already formed
• 3 teams pools on 6 courts
• 2 sessions on each day (9:00 – 12:00pm; 1:00 – 4:00pm)

Fellowship Registration:

·       ANYONE who needs a rating must register as an individual AM or PM, if you want to participate in both please inform Rebecca Johannes by email no later than COB Thursday prior to event. An individual signing up will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 ratings. If time and slots are available there may have the opportunity to complete all needed ratings.

Cost: $10.00     Deadline:  Thursday prior to event

Fee after Thursday: $20.00

·       Teams Registration, A team rep or one designated person per team must register. The team can be any players that are CHRVA/USA members. When registering on webpoint you are only able to provide a participants name and pay the fee.   Once the registration is confirmed, the rep must send an email to [email protected]  by COB Thursday prior to event with the following information. Team name, men or women, confirm all participants are USA members, level and preference of AM, PM or BOTH. The fee covers any three of the options. There is no additional cost in playing in both waves.

·       Cost: $50.00     Deadline:  Thursday prior to event

·       Fee after Thursday: $100.00

Please note that we need all playing participant wear a number on a uniform shirt/jersey. Color is not a critical factor for fellowships.
