Hello Volleyball Families,

Powerhouse Athletics has an opening for a Middle Blocker / Hitter and potentially a DS to round out our current roster for our 16/17s Club team.

If you are in the 15U age group and are looking to play on your High School Junior Varsity or Varsity team next year – playing at Powerhouse on our 16/17s team would provide you with an excellent opportunity to gain the experience and insight of what you could expect when competing at those levels.

Student Athletes will be selected for our teams by Powerhouse Athletics' Staff in accordance with the rules of the organizations our Club is affiliated with.  Powerhouse Athletics is affiliated with the Chesapeake Regional Volleyball Association (CHRVA), the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and USA Volleyball.

Powerhouse Athletics will be evaluating Student Athletes on the following days / times and location for the 2015 - 16 Club Season:

For easy check-in at tryouts, please register on our website prior to arriving on the dates noted above.  Walk-ins accepted, but we prefer that you register beforehand to streamline the process and allow us to focus our attention on evaluating your Student Athlete.

In an effort to give our Student Athletes and Parents some flexibility, Powerhouse Athletics is holding tryouts on two different days – enabling you to attend one or both tryout days; depending on your schedule.

Offers will be made following Chesapeake Regional Volleyball Association guidelines, which can be found at this LINK.

Instructions for tryout registration:

• Obtain a USAV/CHRVA membership or renew your previous membership at CHRVA.ORG
•  Print your USAV Membership card and bring a copy to the tryout
  • AAU Membership will be required immediately upon accepting a position on one of our teams
• Review the USA VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR PLAYER AGE DEFINITION to ensure your Student Athletes correct age group
• Go to the Powerhouse Athletics main page and select the REGISTER tab in the upper right hand corner to create a user account if you do not already have one
• Log in to your account and Register for 2015-2016 Club Season tryouts under your available programs
• Complete tryout registration and submit your payment of $30.00 tryout fee

1. Please remember to bring a copy of your 2016 Player Medical Release form and USAV Membership to tryout check-ins.
